Floyd Mayweather’s dad can add to his CV another British boxer he’s trained after Chris Eubank Jr has worked with him in Las Vegas.
Eubank Jr teamed up with Mayweather Sr ahead of next month’s fight with Turkish boxer Avni Yildirim – following on from Ricky Hatton being schooled by him before his second-round knockout by Manny Pacquiao when contesting the IBO light-welterweight title back in 2009.
Eubank, son of former world champion Chris Sr, and IBO Super Middleweight belt holder in his own right, has been training with Mayweather Sr to ensure he is in the best possible shape before he takes on Yildirim next month.

Eubank Jr’s will make his bow in the World Boxing Super Series against Yildirim at Stuttgart’s Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle – joining fellow Britons George Groves, Jamie Cox and Callum Smith in the super-middleweight edition of the eight-fighter competition.
But for now the IBO Super Middleweight world champion, who achieved a career-best points win over Arthur Abraham in July, has been shunning the bright lights of Vegas and has instead has been putting the hard yards in at the gym ahead of his clash with the Turkish fighter on October 7.
The bout will be Eubank Jr’s second fight overseas, having won in Denmark in his sixth as a professional. Yet he seems to be enjoying his time in the US posting on his Twitter account footage of his sparring with the experienced trainer, writing: ‘Speed and power training with Floyd Mayweather Sr.’

The IBO Super Middleweight world champion is watched on by proud father Chris Eubank Sr
By training with Mayweather Sr, he is leaving nothing to chance against his 26-year-old opponent – nicknamed Mr Robot – who is undefeated with a perfect win record of 16-0 since turning professional in 2014.
Eubank Jr has enjoyed his time in the gym with the 64-year-old Mississippi-born former fighter so much he is contemplating holding future training camps in Nevada in order to work more closely with Mayweather Sr.
He is currently trained by his father, former two-weight world champion Chris Sr, and coached by the hugely experienced Ronnie Davies.
