Mickey Gall books next fight vs. Randy Brown at UFC 217

Welterweight prospect Mickey Gall is ready to make his Madison Square Garden debut.

On Tuesday, UFC officials confirmed that Gall will face Randy Brown at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 at “The World’s Most Famous Arena” in New York City, N.Y., following an initial report by Newsday.

Gall (4-0) has an unblemished record in three Octagon appearances, with rear-naked choke submission victories over Sage Northcutt, CM Punk, and Mike Jackson. The 25-year-old New Jersey native was signed by the UFC after catching Dana White’s eye on the president’s Lookin’ for a Fight reality show.

Brown (9-2) was also discovered on Lookin’ for a Fight, and he has gone 3-2 since joining the UFC in January 2016. Most recently, he saw a two-fight win streak come to an end when he was outpointed by Belal Muhammad.

UFC 217 will be headlined by a trio of title fights, with middleweight champion Michael Bisping taking on the returning Georges St-Pierre, Cody Garbrandt defending the bantamweight title against T.J. Dillashaw, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk looking for her sixth consecutive strawweight title defense against Rose Namajunas.
